To all Panthers, I set this site up in hopes of having some fun conversations regarding a hopeful and happy event and about the year 1995. I thought it would be fun to think back about the good old days and reminisce with old friends and tell remember when stories. Over the last day or so, those thoughts have slipped away. I have seen many opinions which are always welcome. I have also seen hateful negative words which are not. Planning a class reunion is one of the hardest things anyone or group could ever do. Trying to please the masses is always met with push back. I understand that. The reunion was picked for the weekend of the 22nd for a few reasons. One, it was picked to give people a chance to visit with all their friends on Friday, the 22nd, and then have the opportunity to spend a long weekend with family and/or friends and not have the weekend broken up with the reunion. Lastly, it was chosen because high school and college graduations don’t typically fall on this weekend. All of these reasons would give everyone a chance to see more friends. The hotel was chosen because it is newly remodeled and in wonderful condition. The room cost for those staying was lowered to be affordable. Also, I made a promise at the last reunion to keep the cost down for the 20 year reunion after I was met with several complaints. The Sheraton fit the parameters. Lastly, the reason the reunion is on a Friday night is to avoid other events planned on Friday which would take away from the attendance on Saturday night. After seeing your close friends Friday, whats the incentive to see the entire class on Saturday? For those who feel the need to plan a separate event. I understand your reasons and you have that right. It’s your choice and I will not stand in your way. If you change your mind, please know you are always welcome to join us at any time. With all that said, I am working to find a venue that keeps cost low and is in a different area of North Houston. Please keep in mind, the reunion is for everyone, and I am trying to accommodate every thought and scenario. I am not guaranteeing the venue or date will change, but I am promising I am working hard to find a solution. Mark
