To all Pool Owners, Fairfield City Council has recently sent out a survey in regards to a new legislation which requires swimming pool barriers/fences to be inspected and all private pools to be registered. The State Government has recognized the hazards related to swimming pools and has amended the Swimming Pool Act (the Swimming Pools (Amendment) 2012). The aim of registering all private pools is to increase the safety of private swimming pools. All private swimming pools are to be registered before the 29th October 2013. All pool owners are welcome to inspect the draft Swimming Pool Barrier Inspection Program and make a written submission before 4:30PM on 9th October 2013.
