To all United States Veterans and Members of the Armed Services and their families: You are cordially invited to attend a Veterans Day Ceremony at the Pea Ridge High School Gymnasium at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014, immediately following the Veterans Day Parade. The High School Band, Choir, and Student Council have worked hard to make this ceremony one that will recognize you for your courage, duty, and devotion to our country. Senior High and Middle School Choir members and elementary music students will provide special music. Our Guest Speaker is former Lt. Col. in the US Army, Larry G. Armstrong. We encourage you to sign our guest book when you arrive. A cannon will be fired at 11 a.m. to commemorate the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War I. We have planned a time for our veterans and armed services members and guests to have refreshments in the gymnasium foyer. You will have a chance to visit with each other after the ceremony. Please feel free to wear your uniform to help us honor the armed forces and add to the dignity of the ceremony. However, if a uniform is not available, please do not let it keep you from coming.
