To all WCL stakeholders, The Washington Cricket League (WCL) - TopicsExpress

To all WCL stakeholders, The Washington Cricket League (WCL) governing body has studied the proposed amendments to the constitution of the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) that is being presented at its Annual General Meeting in New York on November 15, 2014. The WCL categorically rejects the amendments proposed and will vote not to accept the amendments. The WCL believes that constitutional amendments are unfair and contrary to the democratic principles that are inherent in the United States. These amendments are blatant attempt to disenfranchise USACA members voting rights in electing the most important positions on the USACA board and similar to a callous maneuver to effect a gerrymander the selection of the USACA governing body. The constitutional amendment process has not been fully transparent and the engagement of members in the process was inadequate. As one of the flagship leagues in the USA, the WCL is fully committed to promoting cricket and recognizes that USACA as the national body governing cricket, However WCL believes these amendments should not be supported. God Bless WCL, USACA and the cricket stakeholders in America. Shoaib Ahmed President WCL
