To all interested parties: My sister Susan Hurst and I were talking about the problem of funds and meeting the need of repairing infrastructure from these devastating floods, especially going up State Highway 72 and around Lyons, Estes Park, Longmont, etc. Our eldest sister Linda Wickman has lived in Lyons for over 25 years. She may have just lost her house, spent 2 days at the shelter, and her son-in-law just managed to pick her up and take her to their house. We would like to propose a special Lottery program that will fund this need. Suspend the others and focus only on this. Thats the idea. Hope this gets some air and can be done. Why not divert lottery proceeds to this? Please forward this to the Governor and anyone else you can think of for us, we are hoping they see the merit in this idea.
