To all leaders out there, 1. If you lead from the back you are not A LEADER you are A PUSHER. - Mr Makoba. 2. Leadership is a journey where a leader shows the ones he leads the way and they follow him, now if when you stop and look back you dont see anyone following you know that you are just taking a walk. - Archbishop Zondo. 3. If following turns followers to leaders, then following becomes a delight. - Dr Tibane. 4. A leader is the light of the ones he leads. - John 9:5 [While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.] 5. No generation can rise above the level of the leadership. - History 6. The leaders greatest task is to shift. - Philippians 4:8-9 A leader MUST have the following virtues; VISION: The Vision to see the future. He should shift focus from the here place to the there place. A leader cannot see the future unless he has been to the there place mentally. A leader should have the skills to communicate his vision artistically enough to make it believable. WILL: The Will to affect the future. It is of no good for a leader to take the organisation from the here place to the there place to just sit there. A leader must will to see the there place change. Remember it will now change the name from the there place to the here place so a leader must take it again to the next there place. The will to make a difference creates the way to make a difference. WISDOM: The Wisdom to affect the future correctly. Wisdom helps us understand that all things are permissible but not all things are beneficial. There is no use of going through storms to take your organisation from the here place to the there place only to destroy everything when you get to the there place. CREDIBILITY: The Credibility to attract others to the future. If you fail to attract others to the future you end up taking a walk. If people follow you because the dont have choice you become a Pusher. Credibility measures your believeability and magnetism. Credibility is a product of competence and character. Finally as a leader remember this; Hosea 8:7 (They sow wind and reap whirlwind. The stalk has no head; it will produce no flour. Were it to yield grain, foreigners would swallow it up.) Remember you are a shepherd and where there is no shepherd the sheep faints (Matthew 9:35-36). The safety of the sheep is in the sanity of the shepherd. MAY GOD BLESS YOU WITH HIS WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE IN YOUR LEADERSHIP JOURNEY.
