To all my FB friends in communications: Office of Alumni Relations seeks to hire an Alumni Relations Associate. Info: Seton Hill University seeks to fill this full time position in support of the alumni relations efforts to assist in the development of relevant programs and events and provide volunteer opportunities for all alumni while using the latest technology, social media and the alumni relations website to communicate and effectively manage the information from all for the alumni database. The Alumni Relations Associate is primarily responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs that serve all alumni and friend constituencies with a special focus on current student involvement in programming efforts as well as the work of the SHU Alumni Association. The Alumni Relations Associate will maintain the Alumni Association web pages. In addition, the Alumni Relations Associate will support all alumni and campus event planning and special projects as needed by Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations. This position reports directly to the Director of Alumni Relations. A bachelor’s degree required. Two years of related work experience in special events coordination, fund raising and marketing. Proficiency in MAC and Microsoft Office software, social media and database products – preferably Blackbaud including NetCommunity and Raiser’s Edge. Effective written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with budget process. Ability to manage time and priorities required. Work in collaboration with colleagues, and demonstrate sensitivity to all needs and requests. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: •Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating Alumni Relations Communication Plan to include events, programs, volunteer recruitment and relationship building and fundraising initiatives for alumni and friends. •Oversees Seton Hill University Alumni Association Board event planning and execution. •Manages information using the alumni database; handles data entry, event planning and alumni news data into the Raiser’s Edge system. •Oversees student work study, alumni/friend volunteer training and participation with alumni programs. •Supports the Institutional Advancement staff as a member of prospect management team by managing a small portfolio of young alumni with development potential as it relates to alumni/friend events and programs. •Oversees development and maintenance of the Alumni Association website, including benefits section as well as electronic communications. •Assists in producing written materials including correspondence, invitations, and promotional pieces as they relate to events. •Works with the Director of Alumni Relations to manage the Distinguished Alumni and the JoAnne Woodyard Boyle Excellence in Teaching Award programs.
