To all my Israeli, Palestinians, Jewish and Muslim friends, A - TopicsExpress

To all my Israeli, Palestinians, Jewish and Muslim friends, A couple of questions from an outsider that wants to understand better this amazingly complicated problem: What are the real intentions of Hamas? Does Hamas represents the majority of the Palestinians? Does Hamas accepts the existence of Israel? Do all Muslim countries support the Hamas goals? Israel is fighting against Palestinians, Hamas or Muslims? Is it possible to have 2 neighboring countries, Israel and Palestine with solid borders respecting each other? Is determining the border the main problem? Are people fighting because of religion? What was really existing on the area where Israel is now before World War II? The land belongs to whom, if that is possible to be determined, since every solid country now a days is based on a land that once before belonged to others? Is revenge a solution? Since there are enough reasons for Palestinians to hate Jews and vice versa, probably, revenge will keep this violence for ever. Of course we are right now in the middle of the hurricane and everybody is trying to protect yourselves... But, as soon as things settle down, and it will, can somebody explain these issues to me and to the rest of the world? I know your fight over there is really bad and sad but I gotta tell you that there is much worse fights over here, happening in South America, that people dont talk to much about, maybe because powerful entities are not interested as much. In São Paulo, my city, there are more people dying in the recent years than in all Middle East war!!! And if you count the whole South America than the numbers shows an even bigger discrepancy. We could of course blame others... USA Imperialism, corrupt politicians and police, drug dealers, murderers, Spanish/Portuguese invasion, whatever... I got kidnaped once, threaten to death, my fathers house was invaded also, two uncles got shot. Good people get killed every day in the streets much more than in Gaza or in all Middle East!!! We could of course blame others... USA Imperialism, corrupt politicians and police, drug dealers, murderers, Spanish/Portuguese invasion, whatever... And you know what? We can only blame ourselves! Our life is the consequence of our decisions and the leaders that we choose. You are not the only ones suffering in the world! We need to change ourselves before changing anything. Life can be amazing when Peace is your motto, even during horrible times... (Examples: Gandhi, Madre Teresa, Mandela, Martin Luther King, etc). These are the examples of leaders for me...
