To all my fellow retirees and veterans, I have to let you know what I had experienced today at our wonderful Wal Mart store. As I was parking my vehicle, I observed an individual walking across the parking lot in uniform with no headgear. I exited my vehicle and made it a point to approach him. In doing so, I asked if headgear was optional with the uniform. He told me that it was none of my f---ing business. I moved around and noticed that this guy was a LTC assigned to a reserve unit. I asked him if he required his soldiers to wear headgear, which he replied, that he was off post, off duty and headgear wasnt needed. I asked him when AR 670-1 was changed to depict those changes. At this time he was agitated with me and once again told me it was none of my business. When doing so, he attempted to impress me with his colorful adjectives. I just told him to keep setting the fine example, asshat and I left. I pray that this isnt what my Army has become....
