The Icelandic customs and postal service are being plain silly by assuming that everyone sending presents to Iceland are doing so to avoid VAT and customs. I have been having this wonderful dialogoue with these authorities because they will not acknowledge that a present, my sister (who has lived in UK since forever) dared to send me (two t-shirts she bought at an H&M sale), is in actual fact a present. Therefore I humbly ask you - only to annoy the authorities ;) - to send me a birthday present.
