To all my friends who are religious, this is NOT intended to offend. It is only a part of the way my mind works. I just heard the most infuriating words from a talking head on the goddamnednoisybox (TV). They were talking about the attempt, in Massachusetts, to remove the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance. Granted it was on FOX. The talking head said, "We must respect all faiths." Arrrggghhh. Is not faith believing is something with no concrete evidence to support it, or worse, believing in something when all the evidence points to the contrary? In all humility I must ask, "Why must we respect all faiths, or any "faith" for that matter?" And now to those friends of mine who believe this drivel of respecting all faiths, do you respect Voodoo, Paganism, ritual cannibalism, and the many other things that might be deemed offensive from certain points of view.?
