To all my future families : I just wanted to share how I match up my puppies with their forever homes. 1. I keep a running male/female list with names of families, m/f preference, black/tan vs. tricolor and personality/temperament 2. I also have a puppy questionnaire that asks several questions including whether you want family/companion/working/herding/agility/therapy, etc. I also want to know what type of home, acreage, children, other pets, etc. 3. At Seven weeks, I do temperament testing to do the final match. Then I call my first choice female and discuss the testing with everything I have observed with each puppy and we make a decision. Then I call the second choice female and so on. 4. I wont put a low key, timid puppy to work on a farm, nor will I put a high energy puppy in a small home where the family is gone most of the day. I want the family to be happy with a dogs personality as well as its appearance. Feel free to message me with any questions. We are asking $100 deposit to reserve a puppy for a total of $400. We realize there may be extenuating circumstances so feel free to call / private message. This litter is bittersweet because it will be Dixies last litter !
