To all my great Southwesties friends and high school classmates as well. Now comes the time to make mention of this. This May Ill be taking a 14,446 mile rail journey going from Denver to NYC and Wallingford, CT to attend two college graduation ceremonies.. Then visiting friends and relatives up and down the East Coast and the highlights of this rail journey is a Trans Canadian cross country train trip from Quebec to Vancouver. Afterward, its Vancouver to Houston just in time for the 40 year Sharpstown High School class reunion then then back tracking back to LA and up the beautiful California Coast to Sacramento back to Denver wrapping up this journey in 49 days. Once thats done I will have ridden every long distance rail passenger line in the United States and Canada. I have come a long way since making the first train trip from Houston to Grand Forks, N.D. back in November 1974. Then its hello Eurorail, here I come. The anxiety is getting higher with each passing day till the day of departure.
