To all my local Hip Hop artist I am calling on you to help make a change. From day one i have reached out to artist to share my experience because i genuinely care about you brothers. Some of yall walked the yard with me and others have walked the yards i have walked so you know where i stand. When i step up to offer my voice to end the violence its not out of fear, its out of the love i have for you brothers. i listen to all of the goon talk and gunplay talk, but trust me when a person is faced with life in prison or doing life in prison, that shit dont sound that hot. We have too much hood tripping and senseless beefs over things none of us own. We speak into life what ultimately becomes our fate, even when its for entertainment. We need to come together and sit down and have a Hip Hop Summit that speaks to where we want to go. Most of you have children and it is sad that those children will grow up to live in fear of their community or become predators of their community because we fail to act like men. It doesnt take any courage to pull a trigger and its nothing cool about landing on a RIP T-shirt or Free My Manz T-shirt. Fact of the matter is most cats who end up in the joint, end up serving that life sentence by themselves while the world moves on. I am challenging you today to share something positive for a change and to think outside the box when it comes to the musical energy you put in the air. We are far too creative to stay in this small minded box of death and destruction. i know some are saying i dont want to hear that positive shit and thats cool- i get it. But let me ask you this. How many of yall can honestly say yall can do a life sentence and be happy and fulfilled? How many of yall can say that it feels good to be shot? Hopefully no one takes this out of context, because my intent is pure. The 19 years I served was pure hell, because when i realized my true potential i had already sacrificed my most precious years, and not one mofo from the hood was there to do that bit with me, and thats the way it is for 99% of the cats who end up in the joint. Share this with the lil homeys who look up to you. https://youtube/watch?v=IV_uAL9ADBU
