To all my lovely FB family and friends- Moms surgery went very well and was very successful. She is doing very well and resting comfortably. They were able to remove the entire tumor, and theyll do a biopsy to be sure, but from what he saw, the doctor still thinks its benign. Shes having a little weakness on her right side and a little trouble retrieving her words when she speaks - but otherwise, no side effects from the surgery. We are very happy, grateful and relieved. Im incredibly thankful for my big sister Donna Hayes for coming to be with us, and Ryan Hayes Jaime Clampitt for sending a sweet little care package of cards, pictures drawn by my niece and nephew and photos. All of it helped to brighten moms spirits and I believe helped the procedure go as well as it did. I think the entire event has taught me to be more patient, caring and kind to others (especially my family), but also to be grateful for the things I have and the people I love. Sounds cliche- but its completely true. Love all of you - I seriously cant thank you enough for the prayers, energy, good vibes and thoughts youve sent our way. It definitely helped, and again, Im incredibly grateful for you all.
