To all my old friends and to the new mates which I luckily acquired through this incredible SOCIAL NETWORKING SYSTEM called FACEBOOK , who repeatedly keep asking me about the source of my quotations and whether they are my own as a result of personal inspiration or whether I quote them written by others , I truly state the following : Dear friends , both are very true. Many quotations which I have contributed are written by others, quotations which I simply loved , and quoted them once more for you to enjoy , the rest of the quotes are mine,some are due maybe to inspiration but the majority are due to lifes experiences and to careful observations. My addiction to quotes started back in 1972 when I was a university student in Athens - Greece . I was always and I still am an ardent reader, and I remember one day I came across a very beautiful one line saying in the Readers Digest periodical which left a tremendous impact on me and I seriously believe that it positively contributed to establishing my personality. It said : I CRIED BECAUSE I HAD NO SHOES , TILL I MET SOMEONE WHO HAD NO FEET ! I thought this one line sentence conveyed a serious message that could have been written as a book. From that day I started collecting quotes from periodicals , magazines and even inspiring sayings from movies. Being blessed by having a good command of several languages helped me in finding new additional sources for satisfying my hunger to quotes , especially the Greek language with its immeasurable cultural wealth. To day I write twice or thrice a week on my Facebook page. My intention is to share the beautiful , witty, instructive, and humorous social lines with you all. I also would like to indicate that selecting a quote written by others and writing your own quote have exactly the same value. They both reflect your refined taste , prove your souls sensitivity and are a witness of your wit. Upon the insistance of many friends I will be reposting between now and then some older quotes which I had posted before. I hope I have succeeded in answering your questions and queries .
