To all my speakers, coaches, and fellow entrepreneurs with young children (spouses, growing families,etc) Dont ever make the excuse that your dream has to be done, must be done, will be done, no matter what...even at the expense of your family. There is this thing called balance. Learn how to use it. While what I said may not be popular, become a soundbite or sell millions of books; the fact remains that your family needs you more than your own inflated desires to be successful do. Stop using another persons process for success solely as the mold for developing your own! Their philosophy and process may be based on a life with grown and/or gone children, no spouse, a team of assistants and/or a large trust fund. Dont sacrifice your family for the grind of your success for after the success, all you will have is family. Just a thought: Micheal Jordans Journey to Greatness is told differently through the memories of his ex-wife and children. Think about that. What will you sacrifice to reach your greatest achievement? I hope it isnt family. Remember this: Creating an awesome life means nothing if you destroy the memories of others in the process.
