To all of my friends and family who follow me on here, I know that some of you are waiting to hear what miracle we have recently received. So now that we have had a few days to digest things I can share. As most of you know our son carver was born and by 3 days of age was in a critical state and was diagnosed with a chronic metabolic disorder called methylmalonic acidemia. Over the last 4 1/2 years we have tried our very best to keep him healthy and manage his disorder as best we can!! With much consideration, consults with doctors, testing and blood work we had decided it was in Carvers best interest to undergo a liver transplant. Although this is not a cure but will change Carvers life for the better!!! We offically listed Carver on aug 6th and have been anxiously waiting the call. This week we received a miracle :-) some kind hearted person who wishes to remain anonymous has donated their liver to a child in need and Carver was a match :-) my last day of work was yesterday as I need to take a leave to care for Carver post transplant. Carver is being admitted to Sick Kids Toronto on tues at 2pm and will receive his new liver on Thursday :-)
