To all of my vehicle repairing/rebuilding friends... My Hyundai Terracan is having an electrical issue of some sort. At random times my dash lights, headlights, and radio will flicker on and off. Not necessarily all of them every time, but usually at least two or three of them. We noticed tonight that they flicker less when the radio is turned off, but the do occasionally still flicker. Then we found turning off the A/C had a large effect; I dont think they went off at all when the A/C was off. Since we bought the vehicle, there are times the A/C will shut off for a bit, or at least if on full blast it will shut off until we turn the fan down a little. Work done to the vehicle since we owned it. -replaced battery with a much larger one, so plenty of power -when we bought it, the vendor removed an aftermarket security system, since then the auto door locks havent operated correctly, but they can still be locked. -headlights were dim, so I replaced them with Xenons -replaced stock CD player, with In-Dash touch screen display DVD player -replaced fuses for lights and stereo. One mechanic thought the fuses were getting too hot and that was causing the issue....but if they are getting too hot then there has to be a larger issue. Any thoughts/help would be appreciated!
