To all of you, lawyers for and against, and judges who had to listen and make a ruling on the just ended Hands Up case, le e lolwe, le kamoso. You were more than mere lawyers getting excellent and documented results for clients, you were more than judges for you were progressing a nation along the path of righteousness. You proved that you are worthy of your calling, dedicated professionals who serve as the nations last hope, counselor and fierce advocates of justice and democracy with courage, devotion and integrity. Throughout, you have assured me that you realize your responsibility as participants in the greater cause to fight for liberty and justice for all, as we all sojourn to grow and mature our democracy as a nation. You have truly dispensed your duties as the third arm of Government, what is now left is for the other arm: the Legislature to follow suit. As the saying goes; the ball is in their court. Are they going to reverse the gains made do far? Are they going to blur the line that separate powers of the 3 branches of Government? And most importantly are they going to hold our democracy at ransom, by refusing it to grow?
