To all our SO CAL fans----Join Honoring Our Fallen for our A Flag For Every Hero Veterans Day Flag Placement at Riverside National Cemetery. Our first time out, Memorial Day 2012, we placed 21,600 flags. This Veterans Day we will place over 100,000 flags. The growth of this project has been absolutely amazing! In less than two years we have raised enough donations to purchase over 100,000 flags. Support from the community continues to grow at an astounding rate and we expect nearly 1,000 people joining us to help place the flags. “I would like to share with everyone the importance of remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Our service members sacrifice so much to protect the freedoms we sometimes take for granted. These two holidays arent just another day off school or work, another day to have a BBQ, or a day for shopping sales. These holidays honor the millions of people who have served this great country and they deserve to be honored and remembered. This serves as a reminder to us all and is an experience that will remain deep in your heart for years to come” shared Honoring Our Fallen Board Member and Flag For Every Hero Program Director, Brennan Leininger. Mark your calendars and plan to join us this Veterans Day weekend as we place the flags out on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. Vehicular traffic for our group is being requested to enter the cemetery off of Village West Drive. From there please follow the direction of those directing you on where to park. We will be meeting at the Veterans Amphitheater for a short ceremony and to give directions before placing the flags.
