To all our supporters and fellow staffie followers, I have an announcement to make!!!!!! This year has been one hell of a year yet again at the rescue, and we have had so many angels come and go some of the long termers left the building onto bigger and brighter things and some of our angels have come on so far from when they first arrived here... I know that I have happy angels and am proud of what the rescue has achieved so far and even through the tough times we all still keep going as a team.. L.A.S.R as a rescue and as a group of friends is growing and it lovely to see staffie lovers sharing the love of their dogs through the rescue. We love to welcome new faces and most of us all like to think that whenever we can, we are helping new dogs all the time. As most of you know that where the rescue is currently situated it was just a stopping gap until we could find somewhere that was completely suitable for the needs of the angels. Well guess what we have found the perfect place that is going to be a staffie paradise a tranquil retreat...a happy peaceful place where the angels can have all they have ever wanted in the end.... The new property has a lovely orchard for them to run around in and stream with a bridge for when the angel pass over to rainbow bridge they can go play in the surrounding fields for ever more.. There is alot of work that needs doing to make it into this beautiful paradise and we be building kennels again which will of course be heated and we will also be having a proper oldies section where the oldies can have a happy retirement.. The new property has so much to offer the rescue and can finally allow our rescue to blossom into the dream it was finally meant to be.. As they say Rome wasnt build in a day but the long term plans offer such happiness and freedom for the angels... My priority will always be these angels and being able to save more will save so many more staffies lives so that there fate can be nothing but brighter futures.. We will never save them all but saving what we can will help at least.. We will still crate train all our angels with their snuggle pads as alot of you know many staffies just do not like kennels and i will not just stand by and see a little angel distressed in a kennel if they really dont like it... We really are going to need all the help we can get for this to work and im hoping that help will be offered in bucket loads.. If any one can help in any way whether it be approaching building merchants or seeing what you have dotted around the house or if you know of any friends we really do need all the help we can get and if thats means that you could possibly come down and help out whether it comes to cleaning helping with the dogs walking the dogs helping with the big project of the garden we would welcome you with open arms... we have nothing to offer in return apart from happy dogs and lots of staffie kisses.. we are hoping to have a group of us in the first couple of weeks so we can all pull together and if you lucky we may have a bbq... We are only moving ten minutes up the road from where we are but this is a big move and keeping the angels as stress free and calm as possible is a must as i do not want to cause them any upheaval that isnt necessary, If you have spare afternoon and can help by packing your car up and bring stuff over to the new house then we need you but most importantly to start with we will need to sort the garden so that the dogs have a safe place to be let out for toilets and that is going to be a task in its self as it is very over grown... So there it is everyone the rescue is off to bigger and brighter things and hope you will all follow us on this journey.
