To all past and present members of Geelong Archers: Just a courtesy reminder regarding the GA Honour Roll board unveiling on Saturday 5 April at 2.30pm. This will all take place at out club located at Jarvis Oval within the Deakin University Campus grounds at Waurn Ponds As a follow up to my message of Wednesday 12 March, would GA members attending please note the following: 1. To present a good image to our guests, please wear the GA blue polo shirt and neat trousers, slacks or skirt 2. To assist with the catering, the Committee have requested those members attending to PLEASE bring a plate to share: v Club sandwiches – ham, ham & cheese, salad, etc v Dips & crackers - variety v Chips – potato or corn v Nuts – mixed, cashew, etc v Whatever I haven’t thought of Cakes, slices and drinks – tea, coffee and bottled water will be provided. Past office bearers dating back to the 1960s & 1970s have also been invited to the unveiling ceremony, eg Owen Bourke the founder of GA, Leon Gleeson the 1st President and Ian James the 1st Treasurer (whose 1st report to the 1961 AGM consisted of five words “Don’t spend any more money”). It is hoped both Owen and Leon will be available to jointly unveil the Honour Board. This is an important occasion in the long history of GA (54 years) consequently, it would be wonderful if as many members as possible attend. The Committee would sincerely like to welcome our members based at the Abe Wood Reserve, Lovely Banks to join us for this historic occasion
