To all pet owners, get your microchips scanned regularly. I had the unfortunate experience of sending only 2 out of my 3 cats to New Zealand last night. The third cat had a Virbac 15 code chip. It had been scanned twice during the last few months while she was getting processed. Upon final inspection before the flight, it was not scannable. Virbac chip or not, I suggest having your animal scanned every time you go to the vet. It could be working one month and not the next.
