To all that are on high alert, awaiting the decision from the grand jury in Ferguson regarding the Michael Brown shooting, I urge African Americans every where to remain calm and to respond in a nonviolent manner, regardless of the decision. I also appeal to white police officers to respond in a dignified manner, and not to abuse their authority if the grand jury indicts Officer Darien Williams..... As pastor of Greater St. John Bible Church and as a voice for my people, I hope and pray that this case goes to trial, so that real evidence can be presented and testimonies from live witnesses can be heard publicly..... This is the only way that such a nationally polarizing case can be resolved with minimum collateral damage and pushback. Please lets not compound this very painful nightmare with anarchic and violent behavior. There is a peaceful and intelligent way to protest friends. Ira Acree
