To all the Hilux enthusiasts and Thys De Jaager, keep 2015 a great Hilux year. I do have a technical question. I am aware as far I can gleen that newer Hiluxs (currently in use) still use the second shift stick to engage 4x4 in high or low with the result that when torque is delivered to the front drive shafts they engage automatically and deliver front wheel power. The older SFA Hiluxs had high and low range also in two wheel drive and when you wanted 4 wheel drive you had to lock the front hubs youself. Now some other 4x4s have gone electronic such as Isuzu and even the Steed as well. The Isuzu it seems only offers high and low also but electronically engaging the front diff. But here is a weird thing, the Steed does exactly the same as the Isuzu, but with a difference, the front diff as expressed to me by a workshop forman engages the front diff (electronically when 2L button is depressed) but also with diff lock, gosh it appears to be true. Any one know about this, and with the coming of the latest Hilux will the 4x4 version go electronic in engaging 4x4 High and low and perhaps with front diff lock as well would love some input on this unusual benefit. Thanks Karl Schultz
