To all the Media, We greet you a blessed day. Let me cut to the chase for this is not just about motorcycles and the issues that surround its use anymore. This letter is aimed at addressing the process of building laws that have degraded so much that our very own constitutional rights have been ignored, disrespected and set aside. On July 20, for the first time in history of road use in the country, thousands of motorcycles, hundreds of car enthusiasts and even our DAP (Differently Abled Persons) brothers and sisters will UNITE in what will become, the largest display of force against the STUPID rules and regulations that are failing the system, failing the proper process of creating laws, failing the bill of rights from under the constitution and failing the simple and basic logic of equality for all. In our disgust to what is happening, we have joined forces in an attempt to get the government to do something about the already broken system that is currently jeopardizing what little is left of our democracy. In spite the countless problems that deserve far more attention and priority to address criminality and lack of discipline on the streets, the new laws being created are causing uproar in all road user communities. These are: 1. The “PLAKAVEST” ordinance of Councillor Ludovica of Quezon City 2. The gray area surrounding the latest JAO from the LTO and DOTC 3. The no plate no travel announcement of the LTO 4. The no back ride beyond your first degree relative policy in Mandaluyong City This has got to stop. We are not criminals. We do not deserve this kind of treatment. We want them to respect the bill of rights and be smarter rather than passing the burden of their shortcomings to the end users. We humbly ask that we may be given the coverage to air our grievances against the laws that are far from helping solve the problems. We will be converging on the People Power Monument on July 20, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 in the morning before we launch our symbolic motorcade on EDSA, East Avenue, Elliptical Road where the motorcycle group leaders will be conducting a symbolic burning of the “plakavest”, Commonwealth avenue and back to the Quezon City Circle where a program will be held. In the program, all the leaders from the car, motorcycle and DAP groups will speak and air their sentiments for the agencies responsible for creating such laws. We expect at least 7,000 road users in attendance. We hope that our voices be heard and they we hit Monday’s news for maximum exposure on the problems being caused by the creation of such laws. Yours sincerely, Jobert Christian Bolanos A Road User 0916-232-0305 To all riders, car enthusiasts, DAPs, and fellow road users, Please help us distribute this letter to all media. PLEASE SHARE! LETS MAKE THIS VIRAL UNTIL FRIDAY! Thank you!
