To all the citizens of Pleasanton and Atascosa county that we serve and protect for fires, I want to send out a BIG THANK YOU!! For all the cases of water that have been donated to Pleasanton FD and all your local FD. This years summer has been pretty HOT in the 3 digits for temperatures, we fight fires in this heat which takes a toll on all of us trying to do a job that we love to do to keep citizens protected from fire dangers plus wearing all bunker gear add another roughly 20 degrees more to the temperatures outside already when we have house fires or major accidents in the city, county or interstates. So to those who have donated to FD once again THANK YOU, yall have no idea how much being hydrated helps us perform our duties in this weather.. So this is Pleasanton FD responses for fire calls for city and county as of January 01-Present 2014 TOTAL FIRE CALLS- 341 calls January- 50, February- 23, March- 51, April- 33, May- 46, June- 33, July- 43, August- 43, September- 11 for now.
