To all the members of the Sunrise Police Department and all of my fellow dispatchers: tomorrow at 6am, the next phase of Regionalization begins when dispatchers from CDC-2 (Ft Lauderdale) merge into our center. Overnight, our staff will triple. There will likely be some bumps along the way, but with some patience and perseverance, we will succeed. I will dearly miss the camaraderie of our once small center, but this is a new challenge, and I know we will make it work. I hope that we will each remember that this is a new day, and that we will have patience with the system as things change. I love my entire staff; they mean the world to me. They make me proud every day, and I am certain they will continue to do so as we take that next nervous step. So thank you to all, and get ready for the next evolution...
