To all the old timers on this page: Take time to look, really look at what the DCI lines are playing. If you can do that and call it 1/8 notes, then you dont know what youre talking about. Is it the same thing we played BITD? NO. But we would have never attempted some the things they do today either. As I have said, we have to stop comparing what was to what is. They are two completely separate animals. And the point of this page is to support drummers in becoming DCI level snare drummers, period. So yes, that means posting exercises and videos that can help them. It also means being positive and supportive, and if you cant do that then, with all due respect, leave this page. There are plenty of other pages to complain about modern drum corps. This will not be one of them.
