To all the seniors graduating today, Happy Graduation Day & 70th Anniversary of D-Day!!!!!! Instead of storming the beaches of Normandy, go storm the clean and beautiful (ha ha) Galveston beach ;) For all my Kempner babies graduating tomorrow, I dont want you to feel over shadowed by the importance of this day in history, so on June 7th in history: 1893 - Gandhis first act of civil disobedience. 1912 - US army tests 1st machine gun mounted on a plane 1929 - Vatican City becomes a sovereign state 1942 - Battle of Midway ends: Adm Nimitz wins 1st WW II naval defeat of Japan 1955 - 1st President to appear on color TV (Eisenhower) 1993 - Prince celebrated his birthday by changing his name to a symbol, and becomes “The Artists Formerly Known as Prince”. Youve got a lot to live up to, so go make tomorrow a day for the history books!!!!!! Love you guys!!!
