To all those who fail to understand why I support (and contribute - TopicsExpress

To all those who fail to understand why I support (and contribute to) Mozilla. I don’t do it because I was invited to attend the Mozilla Summit 2013, I don’t do it for the phone and tablet that I received under different contribution programs, neither for any other benefits that come along with being a Mozillian. The Internet is an integral part of modern life—a key component in education, communication, collaboration, business, entertainment and society as a whole. Internet is a global resource and Mozilla’s mission is to keep the web open and accessible for all. So, by being a part of it, I’m fighting for our rights on the internet, I’m fighting for our privacy and security on the web, I’m working to build an internet that is open, innovative, and full of opportunities. We Mozillians– A global community, are working with a shared mission to build the internet the world needs, because no one else is going to build this internet for us and no one else can. I feel connected to this mission, I can relate to it, and if you still can’t understand, then ask yourself that why do you support your favorite football team? Or your favorite cricket team? They don’t pay you to do so but even then you support them like crazy, get into arguments, defend them, applaud them, and celebrate their wins – all because you feel connected to them. I was introduced to Mozilla by one my university teachers who has been a great source of inspiration for me and has supported me in all my endeavors during my university time and beyond. I can’t thank her enough for introducing me to this great mission, and this awesome community. I will continue to support Mozilla no matter what, because, I am a Mozillian.
