To all those, who train self-defense – important note – even free of charge: if techniques are trained, that hold the objective to disarm an attacker (knife, club, etc.), then please ask each time the instructor or teacher, if he on this technique or in general would let himself get disarmed voluntarily or if he would undertake everything to keep the weapon in his hand. Possible scenario of reply 1: It is explicitly stated, that the instructed technique always works – regardless of physical dimensions the attacker has. Then persistently inquire, if you can bring an unknown person to the next training for testing this technique, who is not a member and whose physical constitution is that of an above average sportsman. The fact, that this person must not be related to anyone excludes any anticipating psychological inhibition for this person as well as the others, in order to give this test a scientific independent note as well a validation for yourself. The test arrangement is like follows: before the test the testing person is waiting in a second undisclosed room, where he is only briefed of about how to attack and to not voluntarily give up the weapon at any time. The moment he enters the testing room and having the weapon ready in his hand and sees the test person he immediately starts all over according to the briefed instructions Should an inquiry of this testing arrangement be declined or being obfuscated by discussion, it is to assume, that the content taught is not really based on confidence and that the students ought to be kept busy by any means – without any warranty for their safety. Possible scenario of reply 2: It is explicitly stated, that everything should be being undertaken, to keep the weapon in hand – meaning everything is being undertaken to never get disarmed. By this statement every technique being taught for that purpose is being immediately graded as senseless. What value is then left for the invested time having spent training on this? _________________________________________________________ Own approach with scenario of reply 1 – option 1: Despite a decline of the inquiry for a test an unknown person with outstanding physical characteristics is brought in anyway in order to get a validation for one self. The unknown ‚tester‘ is being expelled by house right and all others consider this as deviating or sceptic (if the community is conservative even as treason). What can be deduced from this? The unknown ‚tester‘ is being explained, that those test arrangements possibly even with real objects are not based on any legal grounds in order to build up psychological inhibitions right from the front The unknown ‚tester‘ gets scared, leaves and all others consider this as deviating or sceptic (if the community is conservative even as treason). What can be deduced from this? The test takes place and is arranged accordingly without any restrictions… Own approach with scenario of reply 2 – option 1: What can be deduced for oneself, if things are taught, that on a more in-depth inquiring must be deemed as worthless, especially when personal security is concerned? _______________________________________________________ Self-analysis: Who carelessly does not inquire things more in-depth according to the above outline or does not inquire the replies hereto, is not allowed to complain about being frauded for his investments (time, money,etc.) – based on personal factors (convenience of location, low monthly fee and so on) the priorities have been set in a way, that it only equals the received service. General remark: in order to approach mentally and physically a mastership of the strategy 100% security/0% risk the above procedure must be transfered to every level conceivable. Everything else is only an acting performance of media signals in order to stage competence at teaching self-defense to other people. My statement: a 100% security for defenses against armed attackers is not possible, not even in advance the exact quantification of the percentage of security, because the situation arrives in the future and is completely unknown for us. If it should anyhow be possible, that someone, who claims being able to predict for basing his teaching of self-defense on this, he must also be able to predict the lottery numbers.
