To all you veterans I would like to say a great big thank you for giving of your time so that we may live in a free country.To my former husband and very good friend Donald Chism who left for Viet Nam on Oct 5,1967 and I did not see until Oct 5,1968 and we had only been married 10months,his father,the late Pine Chism(a very good man) my sweet brother in law,John W Johnson,my sweet sweet lovable father in law the late Ernest Lovell ,some of my friends,Ronnie Morris,Robert Bryant,Steve Holloway,Jason Reynolds,Paul Davis,and the list could go on and on but too many to name but I do want to thank two of my CLOSEST AND DEAREST FRIENDS,Lonnie Medford,Bill Oltmann(I love these 2 men so so much but dont anyone dear tell them)lol Last but certainly not least I want to thank a very special man that takes such pride in his being a veteran that you can see him dailey at the beautiful monument in our downtown park,working on his own time,mowing,raking,watering,using his own mower and I am sure gas,just to keep this monument looking beautiful.Mr.Pete Medford you are not only a friend but a veteran that takes pride in what he has done.So Mr. Pete Jeff & I want to thank you for not only what you do but for BEING A PROUD VETERAN.If you see a veteran or a current military person please take the time to thank them and especially if you see MR.PETE MEDFORD take the time to say thank you and shake his hand.
