To any artists interested in getting into tattooing.... Dont think that getting a home kit, scratching on your friends, posting your unhealthy acts on social media and showing me pics from a kitchen/bathroom/laundry room ect is showing eagerness or this kid really wants it type reactions will come from any reputable shop. This is why its an apprenticeship. Not I have art experience and some dumb friends who let me destroy their body parts. I dont want to have to fix already bad habits. You dont get into medical school with a picture book filled with strays you sew together. Have some integrity for learning a trade older than all of us. Turn the tv off from reality tattoo shows and pick up a brush, or paper or anything and just draw, even if it sucks. Jake the dog said, sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something and it is definitely true. Be mindful enough to know what types of things whatever shop or mentor actually likes. If you come in looking for an apprenticeship and havent had any training anywhere, you have absolutely no business handling a tattoo machine let alone draw on anyone and it is a 100% sure fire way to ensure you will never have an opportunity at our establishment. Plan and simple.
