To anyone out there who thinks that animals are not intelligent, that they dont have feelings, that they dont have a soul, this post is for you. These are pictures of my 2 rotties sophie and skylar, mourning the passing of their sister Isabella. It took me hours to get ( Sophie especially ) them inside, they nudged at her, cried and cried for hours, they didnt want to leave their sister, they couldnt understand why she wouldnt get up and come inside with them, they just wouldnt leave her side. I was told by a fellow animal lover that she had read you should give your animals that grieving period we allow ourselves as it helps them with closure as well as a funeral does for us, so this is what I did. This post is not for the animal lovers as we already know that our animals are intelligent, do have feelings, do mourn the passing of their friends that they do have a soul. This post is for those that dont understand that the love and devotion of an animal is just as strong if not stronger than most human beings.
