To anyone who thinks that the Fukushima meltdown poisoned the Pacific and thats why people in California are catching more and more radioactive fish, I ask you these things: 1) please watch this video in full. Now, I had to use onlineconversion to figure this out, I grant you... but consider this: the Hiroshima bomb was apparently equal to 15000 tons of TNT. this, according to the conversion given, is approximately 17500 MegaWatt Hours of energy. Wikipedia also sites bombs detonated up to 475000 t/TNT, which is ~552000 MW/h. Ontarios Bruce Nuclear Generating Station (with the largest operational units in the world) is rated for 6.2MW/h. Given that radioactivity is undoubtedly proportional to the energy released, and that the radioactivity of ANY reactor is an environment where the radioactivity is contained, whereas any detonation leaves the radioactive repercussions free to the open, 2) dontcha think that maybe that radioactivity is leeching out of Nevada??? Even say 200 000 t/TNT average, ~x800=160 000 000MW/h. 2000+ detonations in total. Fukushima had 3 seriously damaged 0.785MW/h reactors. It doesnt add up.
