To attend FIA meeting Al Attiyah leaves to China The deputy head of FIA Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Attiyah will leave Doha today to Beijing to attend the General Assembly meeting of FIA for 3 days with the participation of 230 members of the local unions all over the world, with the attendance of John Tedd the Head of FIA. The meeting will discuss many issues headed by the comprehensive evaluation of all the championships organized during the season under the supervision of FIA, in addition the discussion the some suggestions raised by a number of members regarding some regulatory rules and laws of the game, also the means of developing the motor sport will be discussed, any upgrades and the calendar of the next season for all the competitions. He will attend also the meetings .. European Union After FIA meeting finished, Al Attiyah will fly immediately to Rome, as he will be the guest of the European Union headed by the Australian Wolfgang SRB. It’s worth saying that, there is a strong relationship between Al Attiyah and Wolfgang SRB, as Al Attiyah was one of the great supporters for the later during the presidency elections of the European Union in last July in Poland. The head of Qatari union, who also occupies the position of deputy head of FIM, will discuss the means of reinforcing the relations between the Asian and European Union throughout establishing partnership and co-operation protocol between the two continents. He will also discuss the arrangements regarding the next FIM elections, which will be in Spain in next November, Al Attiyah will be a candidate for the same position he currently occupies, however, many voices were raised to be candidate for the position of the head of FIM, he preferred to stay in his same position, due to the other tasks and responsibilities he is currently in charge of, and the claimed position requires full time management. The next FIM election is expected to be more different than Makawao elections 4 years ago due to the participation of Portuguese Jorge Viegas the deputy head of the current FIM president and the Venezuela Vito Ippolito the president, who decided to candidate himself for a new round. Al Attiyah will visit San Marino – Italy to follow up Al Anabi team Moto 2 (formed by the Australian Antony West & Spanish Roman Ramos) who will participate in the 13th round of the world championship for Moto GP , where the free trials and qualifications will be on Fri. & Sat. while the official race will be on Sunday.
