To be an African means that to be oppressed, freedom fighter from - TopicsExpress

To be an African means that to be oppressed, freedom fighter from moment of birth, whether one acknowledges it or not. To have 3,000 pounds before one can travel as a tourist to the Uk is a racist policy, though Ghana as a commonwealth country fought wars in the name of depending a crown, they took our gold, timber in the name of building a united kingdom one will never have an opportunity to touch its airport. Our life is circumscribed by racist laws and regulations that cripple our growth, dim our potential, and stunt our life. This is the reality and one could deal with it in a myriad of ways. I have no epiphany, no singular revelation, no moment of truth, but a steady accumulation of a thousand slights, a thousand indignities, a thousand unremembered moments, produced in me an anger, a rebelliousness, a desire to fight the system that imprisoned my people, though I have neither the resources or techniques. There is no particular day on which I said, from henceforth I will devote myself to any liberation movement of African... slavery and oppression still lives on through economic barriers... Africa must unite and stay awake......
