To be an honorable & blessed person I must allow others to speak - TopicsExpress

To be an honorable & blessed person I must allow others to speak into my life, to step on my toes, to sharpen me, to care enough to tell me the truth. Sometimes it hurts but faithful are the wounds of a friend. Neither I nor you know it all. We would be foolish to become unteachable. We can learn much even from those we disagree with or perceive as enemies. Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured. (Proverbs 13:18 KJV) If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept correction, you will be honored. (Proverbs 13:18 NLT) Refuse discipline and end up homeless; embrace correction and live an honored life. (Proverbs 13:18 MSG) Someone who will not learn will be poor and disgraced. Anyone who listens to correction is respected. (Proverbs 13:18 GNT) If you refuse to learn from your mistakes, you will be poor, and no one will respect you. If you listen when you are criticized, you will be honored. (Proverbs 13:18 ERV)
