To be fair, Im in court a lot. Thats the job of a Denver DUI lawyer. I appear in courtrooms throughout the Denver area including Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Douglas, El Paso, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer, Weld, and many other counties. Courthouses are definitely a microcosm of society. As such, if you spend much time there, you will see all kinds of behavior. This morning, I was appearing with two clients for pretrial conferences in Jefferson County. While I was waiting for these cases to be called before the judge, I noticed two young women sitting in the gallery. They were laughing and cutting up but hadnt caught the attention of the judge or bailiff so nobody had said anything to them. What happened next surprised me...and I thought I was beyond surprises. One of the women whipped out her cell phone and proceeded to take a selfie with her friend. The judge then called my cases and I had to get to my next court appearance so I wasnt able to determine if one or both of them were themselves defendants. If so, they were lucky that the judge didnt see their demeanor in the courtroom. If you have been charged with a DUI or other criminal offense in Denver, I highly encourage you to behave in a much more dignified way. dlvr.it/6g0bj7
