To be honest, I think Colm ONeill, no matter if the ref told him there was going to be a minute added on or no, I think he shouldve went for goal anyway. If he had scored the goal, wouldnt it be better defending a point lead with a minute to go rather than trying to get another point to tie it up with a minute to go? He had a close in free for a goal, I think he shouldve taken it. One of the great things about Cork teams of the past in both hurling and football is their ability to go for it all right at the end instead of settling for a draw. Sometimes it didnt work (Munster Intermediate final 2012, went for goal to win it when a point wouldve leveled it) and sometimes it did, a good few times to their credit. Colm is a great footballer but I really feel he shouldve had a crack at goal then atleast if Cork scored it, they wouldve won fairly and if they missed, they wouldve lost without any of this The ref said there was time bull. I hope if he is in a similar position next year, he will try for it all and go for goal.
