To celebrate its grand opening, Carolinas HealthCare System SouthPark offered a health fair for the public. SouthPark is the fifth freestanding emergency department for the health care system. EMPs Dr. Jason Bolden is the ED Medical Director. The emergency department offers the same care as a tradtional emergency room and is open 24/7. It also offers a wider range of capabilities, such as extended laboratory services, and treats a wider range of conditions, such as strokes, poisoning, allergic reactions and large bone fractures.
