To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Amys (Austin local ice cream - TopicsExpress

To celebrate their 30th anniversary, Amys (Austin local ice cream chain, most excellent) was giving away free scoops this afternoon. Off I went. While entering the parking, I briefly stopped, opened the door, leaned out and grabbed a lost wallet. Parked. Did a cursory review of the wallet - license, cards, a few dollars cash, but no obvious contact information. sigh. Recycled some demo CDs at Best Buy. Got to Amys and worked my way to the back of the queue. It moved at a reasonable pace. The woman in front of me was soon orbited by one, two, three children, and was then joined by another mom with an even larger horde, including a baby. (This is not a complaint, they were pleasant and civil. Just an observation of the crowds free ice cream can draw, even on a cold (for CenTex) day.) Found an earring, but no one ahead in line claimed it so the owner was long gone. Finally my turn. I went with French vanilla with ms on top. Most excellent! Then home. Erase arching the wallet contents and searching the web did not turn up a phone number, alas. A FB account, but not used in several weeks -- I sent a text anyway. I did identify a probable employer, and will call there tomorrow morning.
