To choose a life partner is really a tough job. People become confused what things should be kept in mind n what not while choosing a life partner. Initially, people demand for religious woman/man. When they get so they demand for beauty. When they get so they demand for wealth. When they get so they demand for more n more. There is no bound on their demand. But this job is very easy for those who truly follow Sunnah. The first thing we should look for when marrying is how committed the person is to Islam. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) said, “A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. You should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a loser.” (Bukhari) The same holds true when looking for a husband, as the Prophet (peace be upon Him) said, “When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks to marry your daughter, comply with his request. If you do not do so, there will be corruption and great evil on earth.” (Tirmidhi) Ihdinassiratal mustaqeem. Siratallatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayril maghdoobi AAalayhim wala addalleen. -“আমাদেরকে সরল পথ দেখাও, সে সমস্ত লোকের পথ, যাদেরকে তুমি নেয়ামত দান করেছ। তাদের পথ নয়, যাদের প্রতি তোমার গজব নাযিল হয়েছে এবং যারা পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছে।”
