To clarify the news from this morning Market Basket in Tilton is still open! We met with store director Mike LeClair today who clarified his letter and previous press releases by saying he will remain open but no longer have any ties to Market Baskets CEOs and corporate offices. The store will remain open as long as they have stock on the shelves but will no longer accept deliveries from the corporation. LeClair stated their recent deliveries are old stock that the corporation is shipping out to clear their warehouse and he will not accept low quality goods for his customers. LeClair said he will stay open as long as he can, until there is only one cashier left because he owes it to both his employees and the community. Customers are welcome to shop their store or chose to boycott Market Basket, and he and the employees support them either way.
