To commemorate the 100th Anniversary of World War I and the 75th Anniversary of World War II and their impact on Manitoba families and communities, the 60th Annual Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede will showcase “Manitoba’s Military Heritage”. The unique event, held from July 24 to 27, 2014, at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin, Manitoba will shed light on the province’s proud military past. In particular, two Canadian Army units will be honoured at the special event. The 1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA) and 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry (2 PPCLI) will be recognized as key contributors to Manitoba’s longstanding military legacy. #StrongProudReady
