A Jesuit priest, Father Anton Puntigam and family friend accompanied the archduke and his pregnant wife, Sophie, to Sarajevo where they had been sent by Emperor Franz Joseph to inspect Bosnian military maneuvers. The priest gave the couple the last rites and was later handed the shirt and the assassins Browning pistol for safekeeping. The shirt was recently put back on display, BTW, to commemorate the centenary of the assassination. 2.) Father Puntigam was also acquainted with, and sometimes acted as a go-between the Archduke and Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany. 3.) The Kaiser was first cousins with King George V of England. 4.) George V was brother to Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught and Strathearn. 5.) Edwin Booth, John Wilkes Booths brother gave a command performance for the Duke of Connaught, Prince Arthur, in 1880. 6.) John Wilkes Booth was married to Louisa Jane Price. They had a daughter named Laura Ida Elizabeth Booth. Her niece was Ida Booth Levine (the granddaughter of Edwin), stage name Alma Booth. Ida and Laura appeared as an acrobatic duo, Levine and Booth, who juggled chairs, balanced things on their teeth, etc. etc. 7.) A young magician, Harry Houdini, appeared frequently with them as part of the Welsh Brothers Circus. 8.) Harry Houdini and Nita Naldi appeared in The Man from Beyond. 9.) Nita Naldi and Caroline Rankin appeared in What Price Beauty?. 10.) Caroline Rankin and Marisa Tomei appeared in The Ides of March. 11.) Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon appeared in Loverboy.
