To day marks an opening of term three in regard to the education calendar of the Republic of Uganda .Be kindly reminded also that recently Teachers in Uganda, begun staging a national industrial strike demanding increment on salary . Adamantly again,government makes a solid stand demanding the strikees an instant call off of the strike to re-open schools "as it sees through" ( of course naturally because its constitutionally mandated ) Iam now wondering, when and how the poor teacher will access equity ?.Keeping in mind that, once disgruntled, the quality of service to the recipient learner is naturally tampered against. Remember,i rationally adhere truly that schools must re-open but there is an underling question for us to posse ,... can we begin calculating output in terms of the longevity a child stays at school rather than the quality of message enhanced from thee teacher that only comes once the teacher in question has got subsequent moderate facilitation or what dimension can we up hold in this ?. My plea to government therefore,is to amour its self with its constitutional function and role in answering justice and fairness to the teaching labor force, so that we the populace can also demand a qualitative accountability from thee.Lest , the generation will judge government harshly in future.
