To day was a fun filled day of adventure and excitement. I saw a low speed chase on I-94 just east of Jackson, Michigan. Finally two cop cars got the speeder/reckless driver to pull over after a fifteen mile chase. I continued on my way to the VA hospital in Ann Arbor to have my eye surgery checked to make sure it was healing okay. It wasnt. They did surgery again today. Not much fun- in fact it was hurting having that laser stuck into my eyeball. To make this short the doctors couldnt continue with the surgery because of floaters and blood in my eye ball. They stopped surgery and now I have to back again for a third attempt. so far I have had 10 doctors trying to fix the torn retina. I have another surgery scheduled for Wednesday the 23 of April. If the laser surgery doesnt work I will have a fourth surgery scheduled. This one I will be knocked out for and they drain the eyeball of fluid, freeze the bad spot and replace the fluid. This sounds a lot better than having then use my wide awake eyeball for a pin cushion. I will keep every one up to date on my adventures. I have a podiatrist appointment on Monday at the Battle Creek VA. they are gonna check my feet and my new shoes. Because I have very little feeling in my feet I am no longer allowed to cut my own toenails so they are gonna do that to. Seems the last time I cut my toenails I was actually cutting the skin from the end of my toes. Because my one eye is so bad it blurs my vision and I cant see my toes. They dont think this is a good thing. my third visit next week is a dental appointment at the VA in Battle Creek. Now my vision doesnt effect my dental hygiene to much except that one time my vision was so blurred I crabbed a tube of preparation H instead of toothpaste. This was not a pleasant experience. As much as I hate the really minty taste of toothpaste it is more preferable than Preparation H.
